Today I have been learning how to do a scavenger hunt to explore Google docs. I loved to type by just using my voice! It was awesome. I enjoyed doing this task.
Niue
This week, we have been celebrating and learning about Niue language week! Today I made a presentation of my Niue work and I am ready to share and post it on my blog.
The Best Version of Myself
I have been learning to take photos using different angles and camera techniques.
An example of my work is showing the best version of myself when I’m reading.
In Potu Ono, we have been learning about photography and how to take creative photos using different angles and camera techniques. It’s been an exciting journey to see how changing just a small detail—like the position of the camera—can completely change the way a picture looks!
Angles We’ve Explored
We started by learning about different camera angles. These include:
- High Angle: Taking a photo from above, which makes the subject look smaller or less powerful.
- Low Angle: Shooting from below, which makes the subject appear larger and more dominant.
- Eye-Level: This is when the camera is placed at the same height as the subject, giving a natural perspective.
- Bird’s-Eye View: A shot from directly above, which can create a unique and surprising perspective.
Photography Techniques
We also tried out different techniques, like focusing on an object in the foreground while blurring the background, or using the rule of thirds to make our photos more balanced. We discovered how zooming in can reveal details we didn’t notice before, and framing our shots with objects like trees or windows can create more interesting photos.
Our Reflections
Learning about angles and techniques has helped us see the world in new ways. We’ve had fun experimenting with how these skills can tell a story or change the mood of a photo. Some of us found that taking photos from a low angle made simple objects look larger-than-life, while high-angle shots made even big things seem tiny!
What’s Next?
We’re excited to keep practising these new photography skills. Who knows what kind of stories we can tell through the photos we take next? Stay tuned for more of our photo projects!

Pixel art
Today with Mrs Raj I learnt how to use a spreadsheet and learnt how to do Pixel art. I enjoyed doing this with Mrs Raj.

I counted up the colours I used in my pattern and drew a pie chart. I had fun doing this work.

Writing Reasons
Today with Mrs Raj I got to choose what I like best in each of the prompts. I have also learnt how to write reasons for the writing prompts. I enjoyed doing this task with Mrs Raj.
Blog Links and Commenting for Whānau
Today I learnt how to create a QR code so my family can see it and comment a positive comment on my blog.

What We Share Online
I learnt about what to share online for example our goals but we cannot share our address because it’s private.

How Big Is My Digital Footprints?
What I have been learning in Digital Footprints is to identify keywords and realizing that whatever I post online will be permanent.
I have also learnt that I have to write and post positive words on my blog because the words you write will stay online. I also learned to take a screenshot and blog my work.
